Name: Lydia Walkenhorst
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Status: Trainee Squad (Later: Stationary Guard/Garrison)
Height: 160 cm. (Lydia is quite lightweight and lank, which makes her height look more like under 160 cm.)
Weight: 59 kg
Eye colour: Very dark green, which sometimes looks more like black colour.

Personality: As a soldier, Lydia hesitates often, but thinking about the empty home waiting her, pushes her to keep going. In fact she's also really afraid pf titans, but she can qite well hide her feelings inside her.
Lydia likes to be in military, even though the military training is hard. The reason for this are the people around her. Lydia loves to talk with others, and listen their conversations, because some years ago her almost only talking company was her ill mother she was watching after.
Lydia is a bit quiet though. If she keeps quiet during the conversations, it usually means that she's just thinkig really hard what she should say next while trying not to sound stupid or too boring. Lydia has also bad habit of sinking in her thoughts.
Talking about animals and especially dogs makes Lydia participate much more on the conversation.

Lydia often underestimates her ability to help others. After taking care of her ill mother for many years, Lydia thinks that there can't be anyone else truly needing her help, except her already death mother.

History:
Lydia's father Albert, member of Survey Corps, was eaten by a titan when Lydia was 11 years old. After that Lydia lived together with her mother Eva. Eva had been crippled for a quite while already, being unable to walk and move correctly. Couple years after her husband's death, Eva got ill, and Lydia had to look after her mother, who's condition went worse every day.
The daily live of Lydia was exhausting, and Lydia couldn't live normal kid's life while trying to get food for herself and for her mother, and doing also all the houseworks. When Lydia finally did have some time, she usually went on their house's backyard and shot old bottles with a slingshot, which she had made herself. Kid's from the neighbour usually came to watch Lydia when she was using the slingshot.

The family started to get poorer and poorer, because Lydia didn't have time to go work while watching after her mother and doing all the housework. Lydia and Eva were almost drove away from their home because of the unpaid rents, but before that happened, Lydia's mother Eva died, after being ill for 5 years.

Lydia moved after this into smaller apartment, near her old home, and started work in a small bakery.

Finally, when Lydia was almost 20 years old, she desided to join to military, without no family and being alone for couple years.
The biggest reason for this was, like Lydia herself says: "There's no home to go back to, and no one waiting me there to return."

Skills: Lydia is still great on using the slingshot and she's also good on archery.

Other: Lydia loves to eat sweet, fresh honey. She also likes animals, especially dogs.

Lydia talks about her parents like they would still be alive. This way she can avoid talking about their death. This also maybe means that Lydia hasn't yet fully accepted the fact that her parents are dead.

Lydian and Ian Blackwood are childhood friends. When they were kids, Ian came often to watch when Lydia was shooting bottles with a slingshot. Ian usually drag Lydia along without her noticing it, to his nasty little tricks for the neighbours, which in the end made Lydia angry.
Nowadays Lydia can't stand Ian. She things the Ian is really loud, childish and annoying, and she hates it when Ian is all the time drinking whiskey.
But on the other hand, she respects Ian for being her almost only friend in her childhood.
