I wanted a winter photoshoot in which I'm wearing kimono while surrounded by lots of snow, and I finally got a chance to do so today. Unfortunately, most of the pictures didn't come out very well. I'm going to do a second take next week, but the snow will probably be gone by then...This is my white houmongi with a landscape design in sumie (or brushpainting) style. I matched it with my antique black shusu nagoya obi with an embroidered design of gourds and plum blossoms.

It's definitely up there, not only for the sumie but also because the lining is a black dip-dye XD. I'd wear it more often if it was always this cold outside.

Thank you, I really like how this whole ensemble came out. I know houmongi should have more upscale obi than this, but I really love the simplicity of the two together
