Description Finally finished this thing. It's a commission for my uncle, since he loves eagles. This is an oil painting on I think a 14 x 18 inch canvas? Something like that.

The eagle itself was still wet when I took this so it looks all shiny. I finished it the day before I had to leave for college so I didn't really have time to let it dry.

Took many days of work, with several hours each day. Don't remember how long though.

I based the mountains on those I saw during my week in Maine. :3

This is really good. I like the eagles's feathers especially. I recently bought some water soluable oils but you can also mix them with linseed oil and they dry in like an oil . Thin I might do a painting with them.

Thank you! I've used water soluble oils before, but I wasn't really painting on a good surface so it wasn't the best experience. XD

Yes I can see that putting you off them. I don't mix water with them anymore just oil and yet still they dry loads quicker.
