News reached us yesterday that comic book legend Stan Lee passed away from health complications at the age of 95. I'm not really one for elaborate sentimental words, but I think we all know how important he was - not only did he personally create comic book legends like Spider-man, the X-Men, Iron Man, and many others that have become only more popular in recent years thanks to the success of Marvel's film studio - but he served as Marvel's editor-in-chief for decades. The comic book industry would have been massively different without his contributions, with a good chance of Marvel not even being around anymore without his help. Stan Lee was a man that I genuinely look up to and respect, and while his death was an inevitable tragedy, I can't help but feel at peace knowing that he continued to do what he loved best up until the end. He left this earth at a time that very few artists are lucky enough to do - when his work was being celebrated the most. Marvel has seen many ups and downs over the years, many of which he personally had to strive through, and in the end, I feel like he must have died happy.

We'll never forget you, Stan. There will never be anybody else like you, and thank god for that. Excelsior!
