Um, goofy face? First gaze at this piece of work and I instantly thought, "Badass face", but then again, I know nothing about her, so who am I to judge?

My thesis was completed in June 2008, so about a full year ago. It was for the Computer Arts Master's program at School of Visual Art in NYC.
My thesis was black and white, a flash portfolio of concept art of three different world I created. I think it was greatly lacking because I didn't have time to color. But I graduated, so it doesn't really matter now. I'm taking time between freelance work to color it all. 3 down, 30-40 something to go!

Her sex was sort of ambiguous at first glance, but that seems fine since the character presence feels like a tomboy. I also thought she was in her teens before looking at the description.

I really like the dynamic look of the strokes, adds a lot of power and conviction. The earthy tones help make it look rough. Her face doesn't look feminine, though, I realized it was a "her" by reading the description.

Heheh, yeah, I know she didn't look obviously feminine so I added that detail in the description. She might look more like a girl if she wasn't making that damn face; Damn brat just wouldn't cooperate.
