Danjiel's origins are from the Underdark (Forgotten Realms, D&D) but he was raised on the surface of Faerûn by his mother so he knows little about that place. He is a bard (harp) and swordsman (rapier). More information:
8 Facts about Danjiel Ryan Oscar Wyvern@Aliana-chan tagged me for this OC-Meme and since it's about time you get to know something more about my DnD-bard Danjiel Ryan Oscar Wyvern (short: DROW) I am glad to take the chance. - I want to do some charactersheets of my characters soon, so I will make sure to tell you some stuff that are spiffy and will not be included in the sheets.-RULES-Post These rules.Post 8 facts about your Character.Tag 8 other people along with the characters you want them to write about (which leads to rule 4)Post their avatars and write the character names next to them.NO TAG BACK! (Noooo, feel free to tag back! o.o Really, I don't mind, even if a character of mine getting more tags, then I just simply post 8 more facts about them ^^),The origin of his name:When I was really really young I used to name my first gaming-character in Baldurs-Gate (which is a DnD-related game) Drow, because I liked the sound and I didn't really know about Drow-elves. - I remeber that at some point I decided that it's short for Danijiel Ryan Oscar Wyvern. I don't know why actually.So Drows name is basically a nod to my childhood and my most favourite games.In his nowadays story Danjiel is just a name his mother liked, because it sounds normal and she wanted Danjiel to become a normal, nice person.Ryan is nearly the name of Danjiels father Rayn. Oscar is the deceased brother of the Lady of Vindholmen. Drows mother owes that lady a lot.Wyvern is the family name. Apparently there were some winged individuals among the family members some decades ago. Danjiel is a little bit sad that he himself has no wings. 2. His blue eyes:Danjiel is a little bit of a self-insert for many of his character traits, but I wanted him to be really optimistic, like one of my friends was, who unfortunatly deceased, leaving a great gap in my life. - She had the bluest eyes I ever saw and since you say that your eyes are the mirror of your soul I really felt that Drow had to have the eyes of the most optimistic person that crossed my life. She is still a rolemodel for me and so is Drow. 3. The rest of his appearance:Danjiel is supposed to look like a devil on purpose. He is a really nice guy, but he is also queer as hell and he cannot escape what people see in him no matter where he is or what he does. - On the other hand he is also like some red lion with the fluffy-hair on his tail. He is fighter enough not to care too much about other peoples prejudices. 4. Danjiels harp: It's 350 years old and was a gift from the old lady of Vindholmen who was like a second mother (or grandmother) to him. - It is a precious item made by "Eloyn, the first female harpner" 350 years ago. Also she made the harp being chromatic, which means it has double the strings allowing the musician to play between to conventional notes very easily. Maybe it was some hidden hint from the old lady that she knew about Danjiel being different and so his art should be different, too. 5. Danjiels view on democracy:I feel kind of guilty seeing the political events starting this year..., but... Danjiel has been born and raised in a world where he only knows about kings and noble-people leading the common-folk. So despite his believe that every person should be free and nicely treated he also doesn't really believe that democracy is a thing that could ever work in a large scale. (Of course if he ever saw a functional democracy he would drastically change his mind about that topic) 6. Danjiels strange eating habits:Danjiel just loves to eat flesh and hates basically everything food-related that has the colour green. 7. Danjiels fighting style:Danjiel fights with a rapier. He learned this skill from an elven teacher at the academy. Initially he was just supposed to do swords dance, but his teacher thought that you have to learn the basics of fighting to use it for arts. - Danjiel was never extremely skilled as a fighter, but sometimes it comes in handy that he knows how to wield a weapon. 8. Poppy: The nickname "Poppy flower" was a name he got from his lover Rovan, because of his red hair and frail appearance. Danjiel always hated it, but for some reason some people overheard a conversation between the two men and so the nickname started to spread among the nobles of his hometome.Later Danjiel started to like that name at some point, even using poppy flowers on his wardrobe.Now I have to tag three persons:@Elythe --- I like Ray! I already read the character-sheet but I would love to have some details. :-)@Grace-Zed --- I just fall for red-heads and brown-haired characters. Tell me about Ashraff if you like!@Panartias --- I would love to have some spiffy details about Panartias of course!Have fun! Or not... I mean... This is my 3D rendition of DROW and I created it in DAZ Studio 4.15 and rendered with Iray. Re-texturing and minor compositing in Affinity Photo. I created his horns in Blender. Rapier from RomarovArt's wonderful freebie set for Genesis 8 Male, Walther's Funny Renaissance Wardrobe:
