Here are two characters, Scorpio and Reynardβand no, assassin he may be, but Reynard isn't trying to harm Scorpio; it's just his funny little way of showing affection. Scorpio has a penchant for scorpion jewellery and, it seems, Led Zeppelin.This is one of my rare renders using DAZ Studio's 3Delightβwell not quite, as there is a Luxrender overlay. I couldn't get this scene to look right in Lux after hours of trying, so I finally gave up an made this hybrid render.
The figures are based on "Colin" and "Logan" for Genesis 2 Male, but with lots of tweaks to make them into my own characters.

Was your use of the name Reynard for the younger warrior inspired even slightly by the old troubadour tales of Reynard the Fox from Medieval times? Also, do you think there is a bit of "tough love" in their relationship? The faces of these young men show interesting contrasts. Scorpio seems much more worldly, with a "don't bother me" attitude, whilst Reynard has a more idealistic countenance. Even though he is slightly "wounding" the older character, his face betrays a great admiration at the same time. Or do I read too much into the young men? WWL

Yes, the name comes from Reynard the fox. They have what we might call today an S&M relationship. Although Scorpio is the master, Reynard is still a "handful" as they say. It's rather like someone having a wild pet, such as a wolf or a tiger. One cannot entirely trust them and that's what makes the relationshop exciting. It's not really that rare a relationship in my experience. So, no, you are not reading too much into it!

Oh, very interesting. Nice to learn my guess about the name Reynard was right. Glad I was not giving off "hot air" as we say in the States. It makes the relationship pf Reynard and Scorpio more interesting. Yes, your analogy of having a wild pet is apt. Whilst not into S & M as we might understand it, my Canids DO practice a form of D & S (dominance and submission); their intensely physical wrestling, which is highly ritualised along the lines of Asian martial arts, is one outlet they enjoy. The goal of such bouts is not so much physical as it is to establish mastery in the relationship. But this tends to be fluid, not necessary hierarchically fixed. The Canids learn and practice this ritual D & S from early childhood, by both sexes. My best WWL

Well done, if a trifle odd to someone like me unacquainted with their fantasy warrior background. But have you ever thought of making TWIN brother characters, as attractive as these two, but identical in outward bodily appearance? You already have brothers Hubert & Jack but they look quite different and likely have somewhat different personalities. Please at least consider this twin idea. Thanks. WWL

I've done a few twin renders, but I guess I don't find the idea very interesting. Possibly because in 3D art it's easy to make as many identical characters as you like so it feels a little cheap to do it. The most recent effort involving twins was The Grays
but I gave them different hair colours and made their birthdays a year apart.

Agreed about the drawbacks of my twin idea. It might seem boring or repetitive if done too often. Yes, if the tools make something technically easy one would find scant challenge in doing twins. Amongst my Canids, because of their great birth size, identical twins were very rare and thus marveled at by others even in the same family group. In fact, legends grew up over the vast ages of their history about identical twins and their devotion to one another. Also, do you believe that identical twins have something akin to a psychic bond? Do you think Hubert & Jack may share something like this? My best WWL

this is superb ! my master is fairly kind and considerate i have to look and wear like he wants me to - also i get a wide and heavy belt with my initials on and his,Β which i have to wear with a keychain on it, which he put on me, apart from that i have a chainnecklace with a small lock and steel armbracelets we ll see whats more practical, maybe he puts it on my left hand as i have to write with my right hand, you see. if i m bad or dont want to come along he might keep my in cuffs until he gets back or when i m playing tricks on him, disobedient etc.
