Hey pal, thanks for checking out!
It's all hand-drawn at the moment (I'm basically looking at Skullgirls as my main source of inspiration), so the custom parts so far are simply additional layers, where I duplicate (or straight up swap) a part of Kunoichi's body, and overlay it over the original sprite.

Ah we are doing the same in our game but not to the extent as skullgirls. We just use a color swap system that lets us swap one color on our character to any other color through code, which in our case allows us to have armor changes as we call it.

Oh sure, I know what you mean. And it looks real cool on your characters!
That said, my project - in spite of all the concept/design material that's already been done - is still on its very early stages, so the idea may get changed/scrapped, in case it turns out to be too much time-consuming.

Yeah I see, although working with arbitrary color pallets is not all that time consuming as long as you start that way. Either way good luck to you dude it should be a really cool game when you finally get it up and going.
