If only I could remember who I made this for
Anyway they were having difficulty turning real animals into Pokemon so here's a tutorial to help get an idea.This tutorial is for Pokemon but it also can help with making other types of monster or even just making an animal cutesy poo.
Sorry about the length and probably massive amounts of english writing fail .__.
btw, don't steal the pig please, its not officially a fake Pokemon since its shit but I did make it specifically to help.
Also the real pig was based after an image in one of my books, not a trace but pretty much in the same pose so I take no credit for it.

probably not, this is both a very old submission and a general Pokemon creation tutorial. I don't have enough "special tips" in order to make a seperate tutorial JUST for water Pokemon. Not to mention if I made such a thing people would probably bother me until I made one for every Pokemon type. No fun!

well I can't really give you any physical help since I'm busy, but advice I can give.
Pokemon are rather easy to draw, all you need is practice.
If I were you I would start learning how to draw regular animals and then once I'm good at that try to convert that knowledge into Pokemon designs (pokemon are usually just simplyfied and exagerated animals drawn in a anime variation style given traits from whatever type combo they possess).

well I can give you a tip even if I don't make a tutorial for it. I often combine words that describ the Pokemon or an element about the Pokemon to make its name, for example I have a Xmas Reindeer Pokemon called "Hollitoe" because it has holly and mistletoe around its body.
Also in Pokemon naming they sometimes mispell the words in the names (such as I used Holli rather than holly). You may notice other Pokemon like "seel"(seal) also use this.
Also if you happen to know a foreign language (like spanish, french or japanese) you can make awesome names by combining words in those language or even combining languages into a single name. For example "Pikachu" sounds cool in english but in japanese it simply means "Spark squeak" refering to being an electric mouse.
Also when doing an evolution line a trick that is often implemented is giving all stages names that sounds or mean nearly the same thing like Charmander-Charmeleon-Charizard.

ah, that would be simple to tell you, maybe one day I can make a tutorial on my current method (my old method was simply using the burn/dodge tool by playing with the settings for various images).

i still use burn and dodge XD but i have been working on different styles.
Like, I use the Paintbrush tool to figure out the colors, and then blure the colors togather. but that didn't work to good XD

well with my new method its a bit easier to retain quality and such. I'll see if I can whip up something in the near future to help

Wow G, you really did an awesome job with this. It reminds me, I wanted to submit some of my own Fakemon I did a couple of months ago, so this will probably help me to finish 'em up. I think I'll probably submit my starters first (a Grass parrot family, Fire cats, and Water elephants). And this really helps.
