General appearance: Lighter in tone compared to the average buizel and has a flotation sac around his neck that can inflate upon inhaling to become even larger and deflate when diving. This buizel has spiked fur at his elbows and along his calves as well as his tail and a tuft of longer fur on his chest. He is almost always seen with a goofy smile on his face and in a cheerful mood, ready to tackle whatever today has to bring! Having grown up with an older brother he has learned how important it is to be cooperative, however he is also dependent on his brother for certain things. The brothers used to be inseparable when they were younger and so he doesn't like to be alone and without company if possible. It has gotten a little easier to bear as they got older, but he's never really learned how to be independent, often seeking someone to befriend and hang around with.

Haku doesn't usually get angry and hold grudges - rather he is quick to forgive others. He has insecurities, but he tries to brush off any unkind words about his appearance with his flotation sac. He has been teased over the years for his silly appearance and had been granted a few nicknames such as: donut, bubble boy, and chopper (for his helicopter-like tail).

Usually Haku can be rather playful and childish as he likes to try to get others to smile as it always felt good to see even if a smile lasted for only one second. After all, he tends to put the happiness of others before his own.

When it comes to being around water such as an ocean, rivers, lakes, and even creeks, he starts to become more quiet and reserved due to his fear of water. Being splashed with water bothers him as well and depending on how wet he gets he may freeze in fear and become unstable if he becomes drenched or only be a little shaken up. This is all due to a traumatic experience in the past, a fear he has yet to learn to overcome.
