From what Noa could remember her sister explaining, their dad was doing something very bad and they had to get away. Suzanna had lined up a way for them to fly to New York, but they had issues once they got there. They were detained at customs for travelling on fake passports and because they were both minors. They separated them and detained them, but of course Noa, being 11, didn’t know anything. She would also only tell them her first name, Noa, and they had no way of identifying her. So, reluctantly, the authorities put her into the foster system. She was only allowed a minute to say goodbye to her sister, and was never told what happened to her.

Noa spent a few years bouncing around foster homes, often running away but just as often being caught and brought back. She started hearing about Gotham, how it was the perfect way for a runaway to disappear. So that’s exactly what she did- she stole enough cash for a train ticket from her foster mom and caught the train to Gotham, planning to stay on the streets as long as she had to.

One of her first nights on the street, Noa was beaten badly by a local gang for sleeping in their ‘territory’. She managed to get herself to the closest hospital before collapsing. Dr. Wayne was working the night shift and operated on the girl. It was a quick operation, just to stop some internal bleeding, but Noa didn’t wake up until morning. When she did wake, Dr. Wayne had a few questions for her, particularly about her parents and family. Noa told her three things: that her name was Noa, her parents were simply ‘gone’, and that she lived on the streets. She would not elaborate beyond that. She did ask what would happen to her since she couldn’t pay her hospital bill, but Dr. Wayne told her not to worry about that. Secretly, she had already taken care of the bill herself.

After Noa was discharged, Jennifer continued to keep tabs on the girl, both as Dr. Wayne and Black Dove. She would occasionally come to hospital with small injuries; broken wrists, bruises, fractures, and would always be told her expenses were covered by a secret benefactor- Jennifer. Jen watched as the girl became more and more confident on the streets; fighting back, protecting herself, but also starting to get into some more criminal activity— the only way a kid on the streets of Gotham could really survive.

After Bruce started training Tim to be his third Robin, Jennifer declared it was her turn to “bring home a stray”. So, she confronted Noa on the streets and offered her a home. Connecting the dots and realizing Dr. Wayne was the one who had been paying her hospital bills, Noa became aggressive, angry at the woman for not being forthcoming. She tried to fight her, but Jennifer was of course the better fighter. She pinned the girl down but immediately let her go, again offering her a home and promising Noa that she could help her learn to really fight, to help people who couldn’t help themselves. Reluctant, but intrigued by the offer, Noa accepted.

So, Jennifer brought her home, and she met Bruce Wayne, who she had not realized was married to Jen, though cursed herself, as the last name made it pretty obvious. She also met her new ‘brother’, Tim. They didn’t reveal their identities to Noa immediately, but Jennifer started training her, mostly in gymnastics though Bruce did help with a bit of combat training, since it was Jennifer’s first protege. Eventually they revealed their superhero identities when Tim started suiting up as Robin. Having had her suspicions, Noa wasn’t extremely surprised, but had one major question- you want ME to be a superhero? She spent the next few days very opposed to the idea of fighting crime, but with Tim’s help Jennifer managed to convince Noa of how big of a help she could be. Her training resumed, more intense now, and during this time she also met Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson. She became very close with her now official foster family, and was soon suiting up as Warbler, Black Dove’s sidekick. She joined the team a few months later as well.

Noa became a staple member of the team, especially hitting it off with Beast Boy and finding mentors in Nightwing and Bumblebee. When Arsenal joined the team, she was one of the few to show him true kindness and patience for his attitude. Eventually the two started dating, and continued dating even after Roy got out of the game.

The Wayne’s had been fostering her for the last 2 years, but on her 16th birthday they surprised her by officially adopting her.

Come season 3, Noa leaves the Team. She is aware that all the teams are secretly working together, but happily still allows Tim to take the leadership of their team. From the beginning she isn’t a fan of lying to her friends and to the public, but she understands why they’re taking such drastic actions to fight the Light. When the Outsiders start to gain publicity she supports them excitedly, and is even reunited with them all at the Hub when Dick is in critical condition.

Personality: Noa takes highly after her mentor, she holds a lot of compassion for people and cares deeply for her friends and family. Having spent a solid amount of time on the streets, she is also tough as nails and has truly learned to appreciate the simple things in life, though she appreciates the luxuries as well.
