Love this! What did you use for the sky/space background?

Too bad that day is most likely going to be long after our lifetimes, it would be quite something to see.

I have no doubt there are places out there where a scene like this actually exists (without the people of course). Great work...

I'll go one further. The average lifetime of a species on Earth is only a few million years. Mankind has been here about 2 so far. You think we're going to last four billion?

I think after 4 billion years the differences may be more like between humans and a bacterium. It's a little scary actually. Kind of reminds me of the humans that went through "forced evolution" in the older "Dune" movie. Remember the worm guys who could bend spacetime??

Never saw that. I've heard all kinds of concepts for future human evolution though, from common cyborgs to bizarrely giant brains surrounded by a membrane with little more in regards to limbs than a pair of giant ultra-dexterous hands and some eyes - the only two physical parts of our bodies we'll probably even need by then, what with machines doing everything else for us and the need to survive against natural threats but a distant memory in our evolutionary past. We could become physically feeble but mentally as gods - makes you wonder if the concept of "romance" will even be a thing by that point (though my introverted side says that living in an emotionless world driven by logic and progress ain't so bad, but I'd be curious to know what people then would do for "fun")

This inspired me so thus:
Source of life
And force behind man’s most noble dreams,
You who have whispered so tenderly into countless hearts over the ages,
And have embraced the faithful pure who dared to hope in thee,
Oh great mystery and symphony of nature,
It is by our part in your harmony that we abundantly live
Or forlorn die
By which all our efforts in the end somehow mends
Or finally breaks
But how many make it through the labyrinth,
Yet fail to unlock this gift of the innermost chest before their final hour?
So to direct our wandering gaze back to you,
You placed ever-luminous heavenly bodies above,
As echoes of lovers tried and found true below,
Might that it rekindle in us
Those buried embers of forgotten longings
And the fulfillment of our ultimate calling
You who are our origin, purpose, and final end
Seed and destiny of all Creation
Guide us how to shine as brightly as you do
