It's hard to get right proportions and measurements in the face.. I don't use a technique like drawing squares over the reference photo as many people do here on DA.. I just look on the reference and i draw, but than i must deal with it, that my works don't look so good

Same for me actually. I started off referencing pictures with Sonic the Hedgehog, and as I moved to humans I carried it over. I normally just freehand a ovalish shape for the forehead/hairline and then outline the rest of the face. I add the guiding lines and so on and so forth. Proportions though...forget about it. Eyes and mouths especially.
