Well, wouldn't you know it? Apparently, Amy couldn't sleep because she had been thinking about everything that Darren did the whole day. Now that her head's finally cleared up, she apologizes for all the mean things she said and did, and is even more amazed that Darren had put up with her poor attitude the whole time. What will they discuss next?
Oh, Darren. You just HAD to slap a percentage on social interactions, too.
It really is amazing that they can understand each other at all, both because Amy can understand what Darren's saying despite his big words, and Darren can understand what Amy's saying despite him seeming to be robot-like.

I'm really liking Darren as a character. The way he talks and behaves contrasts with Amy and Chikorita so much. It will really change how the interactions happen in your team. I'm looking forward to see what kind of antics they can get themselves into.

Part of the reason I was so excited to add this guy to the team was because he acts so differently from Amy and Chikorita, so there'd be more variety in the character dynamics. I'm also working on developing Chikorita's personality even further (the tumblr questions were a huge help in this regard).

Does she have a name yet? Because as of now, she's going to be the only one on the team who is addressed by her species name.
I remember from one of your previous works that she had this name because Treasure Town everyone addressed each other by their species name, and their nickname wasn't necessary. But did her parents perhaps give her one when she was born? I dunno, something in me wants to know what her nickname would be (if she does or doesn't actually have one).

Her nickname IS Chikorita, as far as I'm concerned. (And don't forget about Bisharp and Ralts of Team Nighty Knights.)
Sometimes, just for kicks, I try thinking of other cute names, such as Lily and Paikea, but so far, none have proven to sound better for her than Chikorita. Besides, I find that it's cute to have one member (okay, now two members) have a nickname and the other to have a nickname that's the exact same as her species name.

This is true. Yes, I did not forget about them, but when I was typing it didn't occur to me at the time.
Usually when I am trying to think of names, I go to wikipedia and search through topics relevant to the species and see if I could use a term as a name or slightly alter a terms to sound like a name. In Chikorita's case, since a leaf is her main feature (as well as flower petals in her evolutions) I probably would look up terms involving the leaf, flowers and photosynthesis. But that's just the process I go through. In no way am I trying to suggest what you should or should not do.

So that's how you came up with the names Anther and Hearth. Sounds like a pretty cool method to me!
I think I'll keep her name the way it is, as it sounds really cute. I'm sure that I can invent some sort of explanation if she does decide to change her name, though (like when Ralts finds out that her real name is Ellie).

I'm guessing that Amy gained a lot more experience understanding big words thanks to reading stuff in Arianna's library (or at least having Chikorita read them out loud to her), but even then, she's just barely understanding what Darren is saying.

Yeah, Darren doesn't have too much in terms of variable expressions, so I mostly have to use body language for him. Then again, considering how he hardly shows much emotion at all, it's perfect for him.

How does one calculate social interactions? I'd imagine he just calculated the number from past experience. The arrow at the end of the speech bubble is pretty funny too.

I don't know if this is common knowledge by now, but the arrow is a comedic symbol that stands for when something someone says is about and somewhat irritates another person directly.
