Well it looks like he should be facing forward but the position of his hind-leg makes it look like he should be facing slightly to the side.

I totally understand stand that and when I was drawing it the first time it was in that direction you were talkin about but I made it this way cause I thought it give the body a more accurate and creepy structure as if though it has seen someone in the forest
