Sye is a Magikarp who's calm, relaxed, and witty. He's always ready for action (as in sitting back and watching) and never lives a dull moment. He doesn't let his weaknesses let him down.

Rail is Snivy. He is cool, intelligent, and keen. He is always aware of his surroundings, and always willing to lend a hand. He is an orophan, and is trying to discover himself through the training he gets on Merchant missions.

Sye got him to join the merchants to raise money to fulfill his dreams of owning a business, while Rail's purpose is to train himself, eventually evolving into a Serperior. Whether on a quest for self revelation or a journey for moolah, the Dynamic Duo won't give up easily, even through SPLASH is terribly uneffective.
