Next Gen Anya Garde (play off from En Garde)

Anya is a pony that live on a small grape farm in Prance (France) along with her mother, father, little brother and sister. Anya is a calm, hardworking, and focused pony who worked gathering grapes to be made into wine. As a side hobby, Anya would train and aspire to be like her great grandfather who was a local hero in the small village that they lived in. After her great grandfather retired from the guard, he had bought the farm that had been passed down to each new generation of his family. Though Anya worked on the farm, she had no intention of continuing her life as a farmer. Sadly, her family would struggle with making ends meet, so she could not leave the farm to pursue her dreams of being a guard like her great grandfather.

Because the farm was so far out from others, her family was often attacked and their produce stolen from others trying to make a profit from her family's hard work. Anya got her cutie mark when she finally could not watch thieves steal from her family and fought off the intruders with her great grandfather's sword. As she grew, her and a small group of other ponies ended up becoming a new type of force to protect the small village they lived in from any threats.

Not long after, unknown to the rest of her family, Anya had left an apologetic note and applied to join the Royal Guards in Canterlot. Not only would she be paid well to provide for her family, but also be part of something she idolized.

Anya was inspired by the Merens horse, so I took a risk in making her look so dark. Generally, you don't really see the color black on a pony (closes thing would probably be a changeling), so I was a little nervous when I made her design. I like how she came out though!

Anya is still a recruit, but shows a lot of potential.

She also has a french accent and has her eyes on a certain Prince who she has yet to speak with.
