gamegod93 β€” Bromance not YAOI by-nc-nd

Description This is addressed to all Yaoi fangirls that I have offended (proved wrong).

There is a difference between yaoi and a bromance. What I have with my best friend is a bromance. It doesn't mean we're gay or bi, it means we love each other in a non-gay way. And master I'm devoted only to you .Ladies, men are simple creatures and nothing for us is as complicated as it seems. Its the estrogen in you that makes you concoct of all these complex and sometimes idiotic ideas about "guy love".

And it seems to me that you fangirls are incapable of

Actually I would love to see a yaoi fangirl live in the Castro (The Gay District of San Francisco).

This was also a response to my other stamp being removed (that was retarded)

NOTE: This was not to bash the sensible Yaoi fangirls or the stupid ones (which is a lot). This was to explain the difference between a homosexual relationship and common male admiration.

As a female that's not a yaoi/bl fan, it's very frustrating for me to talk about bromance without others thinking that I want to ship them romantically.

I actually watch yaoi, guilty..

I get what you're saying I love seeing bromances they're better relationships than yaoi, because most of time it's "Wtf, this seriously can't happen."

Bromance actually is more realistic and heartwarming, but sometimes you can't help feel when it's going a different direction. The two male characters are too close where you're just feel it's fluff. I like seeing friendships between males it makes a better plot at times!

romance itself doesnt actually mean well romance

the word is derived from from teh word rome, theatre was popular and drama previlant

a scene can be romantic and have no love beetween the characters

[link]

and i do have a huge issue with the yaoi fangirls, they seem to be under the impression that friendship does not exsist beetween characters

that one guy cant high five another without it meaning tthey are in love

and this seems to apply to other characters (not just males) in their minds

and for that matter i dont think they know what love is, they seem to think it is limited to sexual escapades

As a real-life girl, who's had real-life guy friends and real-life boyfriends, I have seen bromance first hand.

They made a song about it on "Scrubs!"

Makes sense, because girls have "besties," and we're not all secretly gay. Anyways, thank you for the wonderful stamp. <3

Where the heck did the word bromance come from? What happened to calling them friends? kids & their made up terms.

I like the stamp though, I get what you mean lol.

kawaiilime In reply to ayame18 [2012-07-07 23:16:23 +0000 UTC]

bro + romance = bromance
Bromace is the relationship of two unusually close straight male best friends. Meaning they can do things that girls normally do in a close friendship (Ex: Saying, "I love you/ I love you man/ I love you bro", hugging, going to the other for comfort, etc)
In a normal friendship with two guys, if one hugs the other, or tells the other that they love them (in a non romantic way, the same way girls say, "I love you" to their best friend), they will be called gay and laughed at (maybe or maybe not good naturedly)

Oh I know what it means now since it's been 2 years now but I still prefer to call it friendship instead of bromance.

I'm sure there are some yaoi-fangirls who do live in the Castro for just that reason. They are a scary and unpredictable lot (I would know, a few of my female friends ARE yaoi-fangirls).

Seriously I searched for bromance on DA and all that came up was a majority of yaoi stuff. I like yaoi, I really do, but I love bromance! I think that such a thing is so genuine and more deeper than some old yaoi!
I'm becoming a huge fan of bromance too.
I'm glad that you made this stamp, I really am.

Weird. I always thought it was called friendship. No offence meant here (really, the stamp is amusing, don't get me wrong) but if guys are such simple creatures, why do they need all these terms like guy love, metrosexual and bromance which, sadly, all sound gay as hell?

Seriously, you wouldn't see a girl coming up with these ridiculous terms.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kawaiilime In reply to SetsunaNoroi [2012-07-07 23:17:52 +0000 UTC]

Bromance is just the relationship of two unusually close straight male best friends.

SetsunaNoroi In reply to kawaiilime [2012-07-07 23:24:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know.

But again I ask, why can't the terms that got used years ago AKA friendship be used if men are so worried about the term being twisted in interpretation?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

FilipinaVii [2010-02-15 00:39:59 +0000 UTC]

I completely agree with you. I really don't like when they have two perfectly straight guys and pair them up together just because they have bromantic moments or what not. If they aren't gay in the show/game/etc., then don't make them gay. But if the creators of that show/game/etc. have made them gay, then so be it, it's fine with me when it's like that.

Whilst I do support BL (sometimes saying 'yaoi' makes me cringe a bit o3o I refuse to associate myself with the stupidly ignorant side of the BL fandom D:< ), there's just something about bromance that I just find so... admirable. :3 I mean, just because two guys are close doesn't mean they have to be secret lovers in denial or something ):
