how come everytime i color my work... it covers the outline?
i also have photoshop 7...

well, I create a layer specially for the outline (so there's nothing else than it on this layer), and then I color with other layers which are UNDER the first layer containing the outline...
it's as simple as that ^^"

If I may add a tip, it also helps to trace your outlines using the Polygonal Lasso tool so that you don't accidentally color outside them.
