What's that noise? Shantae thought to herself. She was sure it was only midnight, but light was coming through the window. To make sure she wasn't mistaken, she got out of her bed to look outside. She squinted her eyes to adjust to the massive glow in the sky.
That was not the Sun.
Shantae gasped, unsure what was going on, but it wasn't pleasant. Voices called out to her asking for help, worlds were being destroyed and their bodies turned into Spirits. It looked like Shantae's world was next.
She wasn't certain, but even without a body, she was sure she could help, even if it was small. She got changed and dashed out the door, but not before reassuring Uncle Mimic she would be okay and return soon.
Shantae leaped off the ship and onto the bridge. Looking up, she saw beams flying everywhere around her, and she was next.
But this isn't the end for her. It's just the beginning of an ultimate adventure.

I kinda wrote that quickly so it might look like crap.

One month until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and I'm so excited, but let's talk about 'World of Light' for a bit.
Easily one of, if not, the hypest thing in that November Direct and it looks like a lot of fun. Midway through that trailer though, we saw our girl, Shantae!

As I stated before, I'm fine with this, at least she's being represented at all. I mean, I'd like her to be a fighter especially considering she isn't in any other Fighting Game despite being heavily requested, but this will do for now.
People are hoping for Shantae as a DLC Fighter, and I'd like it to happen, but you were to ask me, I think she's done. I don't think she's getting in Ultimate as a playable character. The DLC roster has been decided so no amount of tags will help, if Nintendo chose her, then they did.

This comic is a continuation of this and... well is just supposed to lead into 'World of Light'. Might be a bit weird in writing and presentation, but I hope you enjoy this anyway.
