Another rootcovered overgrown crystal with a moonstone cabochon
(and more to come, made 4 others the last two days XD)
This one was a commission for
The roots and plants are sculpted from polymerclay, then painted with Citadel-Colors.
Sorry for the weird photo, but that was the only picture showing the blue glow of the moonstone^^

I have a question- can crystals and other stones be put in the oven at the temperature and for the time it takes to bake polymer clay? I use sculpey and would love to be able to adorn some stones I have with little dragons and things but I wasn't sure if they would explode or would be fine.

Indeed - you can put them into the oven on these temperatures (I use Sculpey too sometimey^^)
at least until now none of my pendants broke or changed color or something like thatr. (First time I really wortried I would ruin the moonstone through baking, but even those and labradorite work fine.)
Only be carefull with chalk or calcit based stones/minerals - I baked Selenite once and due to the heat it turned toΒ burned chalk - like the stuff you use in school ToT
