Buzzard is probably one of my favorite characters from The Goon.Still doodling around with the sketchcard stuff and trying to figure out watercolors. This is the second one I've done for my little personal collection.
I was really happy with how this one was turning out. Left the room while it was drying and the cat knocked it off the table. Alla my wet purple on the hat smeared up into the green. So I grabbed some white acrylic and tried to touch it up a little so that there was some kinda seperation between the hat and background.
Materials used:
#2 pencil, Sharpie, some generic water color pencils, and a little bit of generic white acrylic. I'm Generic Boy!
Time: 30ish minutes

Haha, I don't think you have to worry about me becoming some artistic giant anytime soon Deano. I'm still too scared to attempt to draw a full figure. That's what happens when you put down yer pencils for so long and get too comfortable with an undo button.

Haha, thanks bud. I'm still in the process of getting back into drawing. I've got a ways to go before I'll be too happy with anything I draw. Right now, the watercolors are saving my ass

Yeah, they're a ton of fun. Just something to take a break from the grind and do something for myself. Plus they're pretty fast and easy.

I'm not posting that Goon one simply because I wasn't happy with how pale the water colors were compared to this one.

I had a bunch of rough sketches on cards that I was gonna do Sunday, but I ended up going into Carny Barking mode instead. I'm gonna keep practicing on it though so I can do em at the next con I go to.

Haha, true, but that's pretty much the only thing I can draw. I'm still too intimidated to start working on figures again since I haven't drawn much of anything in 5+ years.

Thanks man. That pic isn't 100% accurate though. The scanner I'm using is cheap, so the colors don't scan like they appear on the card. And I was too lazy to fix it

The first one I did was The Goon, but the watercolors on it are so pale that I never posted it. Took a little bit of experimenting to figure out how to get em darker and richer.
