Description
No 5 (AC) Sqn, a former fast jet unit, reformed at Waddington with five Sentinel R1s, which are modified Bombardier Global Express jets. Exact configuration of these is closely guarded, but with the stand-off side looking radar it looks like they will adopt a similar role to the USAF's E-8 JSTARS platforms. At the time of the shot, this was the only airframe at Waddington, and usually flies as 'Snapshot 01'.
