Description My art trade with long time best buddy

This was done before my study departure and I've been struggling through it since. I'm having an artistic identity crises, block, and health problems rolled into one so everything has been coming out unsure and confused. I am working my way through it, but its is honestly quite painful. The only thing I'm confident in this image is the mood. That came out right at least. Sketchy relaxed approach on this one.

No excuses, I tried to make her as close as I can under the circumstances. She is one of my favorite of yours Shahir, and you did Mu loads of justice.

Revival of an old character of mine, you can see his part of the trade here. [link]

Ah, beautiful. I like the softness of the piece, and hos it looks like she's laying on the clouds.

Well .... I did't know where to put this (your sketch of hands I just don't see around), so I guess I'll just let you find it in your Messages.

The new piece [Hg 356.73C] is stellar, and I have found (while clicking about on DA), some good background for it ... time lost, deep in myth, deep in the human psyche.

The Swan and The Kelpie ..

The Horse (Atlantis) of the Sea (of Poseidon -- the manifesting force of matter from AEther) with a mane of reeds (the Platonic Form of "horse" and the partner of this Kelpie Branch, the Swan --- also Brigid of the Celts) whose cloak of reed based feathers is her clothing .. and who is a citizen and a Queen of the anciently formed ~Sea of Reeds~ .. Empire of Birds~~ ...

Between them they have found the girl: A mortal gate, and anchor in time, a potential for a greater day.
What will come of this? ... What will come of this ... one cannot say.

And the Watcher (as there was a watcher in your hands sketch) .. The keeper of the balance, and her song ... Watching from a horned tribe, where all watchers must perforce find their places.

You have brought to life two great cultural myths; and a hope of futures and pasts in one image .. with discernible ideas, and subtle detail. I thought I would let you know how deep into the sub-continents of the race of Mankind on Earth you had reached.

One thing that makes me love this so much is that you not only just captured a really human side to Constance (amazingly after just knowing about her only a few weeks ago), but you also took the character and made her your own in this piece. For that I'm just entirely grateful and I'm really glad we did this trade

The lighting is gorgeous!
*tries to imagine the tree*

The cloth is totally cool, too; and the diagonal perspective is a nice touch.

You and Painter are certainly best of friends!
I gave it a demo run, but I lack the knowledge of the interface to really let it show it's stuff. You manage easily all the time. It's reassuring to someone who is struggling with the choice of buying it or not!!

Mulik definitely reminds me of someone! (really!) Maybe I will remember when I meditate. Lavender and silver ... Egyptian leanings from the Age of the Ram? ..
