Description I, personaly, have no hope, or expectations for this film, just for the fact that it's an americanization of one of the best stories ever made...
I made this poster just for giving myself an idea of how the movie's stethics could be. I really dislike the actors they chose and the changes they've been doing

***SPOILERS!!!***

1-. The boy looks like a mother-fucking miniature Edward Cullen!!, the character of Oskar (in this one called Owen) must not be physsically attractive, in the book he is described as over-weight and weird, and in the movie, well...at least was more avarage than this actor...

2.- The one that pisses me off the most, the actress they chose to play the beautiful character of Eli, the androgynous boy who got castrated and turned into a vampire, yes, the character of the vampire isn't a girl, it's a BOY!! that's why the role played by Lina Leandersson in the original film was so beautiful, she was actually playing a boy posing as a girl. In this version, not only they will erase the whole castration story, but will actually make Eli a little vampire-Kelly kind of character, with a really boring-looking actress...

OTHER THAN THAAT..I really loved how the poster turned out

A fantastic manipulation, which captures the dark brooding atmosphere of the film

ARGHHHH! Your comment makes me sick! I can't stand the way they're going to destroy an amazing film. And I totally agree with you ... the actress who will play Eli's role is so disgusting. I didn't know they will erase the castration story but now I'm even more mad about this!!! ¬¬

Anyway ... good poster, I specially like "Eli" in it.

i'm agree with you too, let the right one in is a masterpise of movie and not just about the acting, the music it sounds beautiful. i can't believe that a beautiful movie like let the right one in,hollywood want to do a remake. Come on! the movie it was too strong to the category of movies that make u.s.a? why they just put those movies in america?-- i bet that they are gonna delete the part when eli is sleeping with oscar -_-!

I totally agree with you. I also liked Cloverfield very much and I think Matt Reeves(the director) did a great job with it but it doesn't mean that Matt Reeves could then make great film remakes, especially a remake of an already great film. I personally think that Matt Reeves will fail this. Owen and Abby just don't sound good, not to mention the actors who are too physically attractive, and the setting, New Mexico? I think it would erase the dark mood and the feel of the whole story. I know he probably just want to make it from a different perspective and stuff but sometimes when a movie's good enough, I think you should leave it at that. He should instead work on Cloverfield 2 or something rather than doing this.

I have to point out that this is NOT a remake but a new adaptation of the original novel.

yes I'm very well aware of that, but I still think that the Hollywood version of LTROI would not be as good as the Swedish one. Maybe better effects and somewhat more glamorous, but both are not necessary. Maybe the problem is that this new adaptation will be released in less than two years after the Swedish one. The gap is just too thin that the fans would not be done with the original hype yet when the Hollywood one comes out. Well, we'll see in a couple of months, whether Matt Reeves will nail this one, or not.

I agree Gato-Chico, Lina Leanderson was the perfect actress to play the role of Eli.

For a time, the girl's audition tape was up on YouTube--and she was excellent. And I also liked "Cloverfield" very much. Gotta also point out the Oskar of LTROI was a very handsome young man, yet that film was superb. I'm not depending upon an excellent movie, but I'm not dismissing it without seeing the flick either.
