does anyone else notice how dramatic the colour changes are from the original to the ones uploaded on dA?? My original background colour looks nothing like this!

Wow! Only one hour?
As for the color change, could it be the format you save it in? I switched to BMP becouse JPEG was screwing with my color and quality.

You may have been working on a CMYK colour profile, use RGB for the web. Even though it's on screen when you are working it, it occasionally goes wacko when it goes on the web, interpreted as RGB. Actually, its might be the way you saved it... If JPG goes fruity, use PNG.
However.. Oh my fecking god! This took you an hour? It'd take me a lifetime!!! D: Everything is awesome, I really love the colour, the shimmers of light and the distilled leg shapes in the bg... So gorgeous! Seriously, get over to that digital magazine website!!!!
