edit: the mane and tail are not meant to look real, its a kind of art nouveau inspired style that I'm experimenting with.
I've selected Advanced Critique Encouraged because I want to grow as an artist anatomically and in my colouring. Please help me by posting in-depth critiques on what you feel could improve on this piece so as to improve pieces in the future! Of course, regular comments are welcome as well :3

I love this. funny thay you dont mean for the mane and tail to look real but they are reminescent of so many of the reining horses today. Your art reminds me of a picture i have of my gelding. WOW.

The head kind of bugs me in a way.. not exactly sure what it is. I think maybe the head is maybe too short? Or maybe that is just the angle you were portraying.
I really do love this! The detail is absolutely amazing. I love the shading. Great job.

I spent AGES messing around with the head (mainly the eyes) because the forehead just looked so...wrong. But I couldnt put my finger on it.
I think its just that the forehead is too wide, which makes the face look a bit shortish, but he is also raising his head a little.

wow. I read that artists said it before me: but I can't stop looking at the face, especially the nose part and the feathers. Those look so real and amazing! I just love it. : ) And that you didn't add details to the hair givesa picture a nice touch. I like it! Great job, hun!

I can not stop staring at the feathers.
They are looking very good and real.
And I like the mane and the tail. Their twirls (?) together with the feathers give the horse something wild and free.
I think that the part of the head above the eyes is too broad and the visible part of the hind leg could be thicker (but that is probably a matter of taste *I like heavy horses*).
Altogether this is image is really well done and the title fits perfectly.

I agree!! I was messing around with the forehead for ages, but I just couldnt get it to look right! I definately think I need to make the forehead slimmer (or make the eyes larger?).
And yes, now you mention it, the hindquaters probably could be bigger

Then the lower part of the head would not be in line with the eyes and the forhead.

Amazing concept - very expressive. The only critique I could say is to try to make the mane mesh better with the horse itself. It looks a little just "there".
