Bowser's armor set had me stumped for a while. He only had four available armors and three of them were just different shades of green. And the Happy Shell in the manual was just his normal shell just like how Geno's Mega Cape was his normal cape.

-Default: Bowser's unarmored look is just his standard appearance, and his unarmed attack is just his claws. Even without weapons and armor, he's still the team's powerhouse. This is how his looks when he joins the team when they break into Booster's Tower.

-Happy Shell and Chomp: Keeping with the wedding theme of the Happy Set, Bowser's Happy Shell is his wedding tux from Super Mario Odyssey and the Super Mario Bros. movie. The only thing I did differently was to change the suit's accents from purple to green to match his signature color in Super Mario RPG. His Chomp weapon is the one he frees in Booster's Tower. This is how he looks during the fight against Booster's wedding cake.

-Courage Shell and Hurly Gloves: Unlike the others, Bowser doesn't get a shell for the Sailor Set. But he does get a weapon before the fight against Johnny Jones, and it's my favorite weapon for him in the game because he gets to throw Mario at the enemies. Instead, he gets the Courage Shell in Monstro Town from one of his former minions, the Goomba. In the remake, she's named Goomhilde. In the manual, the Courage Shell is just a shinier version of his normal shell. So what I went with is that Goomhilde still wants to help Bowser even though she wasn't a good fighter, so she polished his horns and shell and gave him golden bands.

-Fire Shell and Spiked Link: In the story for my AU, Bowser keeps the Chain Chomp he gets in Booster's Tower as a pet, and when he arrives in Monstro Town, Goomhilde upgrades it by adding a spiked shell to it. As for the Fire Shell, it is the only one in the manual to be a color other than green. To fit the theme of the Fire Set, I made Bowser's shell look like Dry Bowser because it has a molten lave look to it. The explanation is that the characters get access to Fire Flowers, powering them up. Since Bowser already has the power of fire, it makes him overcharged. His green scales become red and his metal bands glow red hot. This is how he looks in the fights against the Czar Dragon and the Axem Rangers .

-Heel Shell and Drill Claw: Everybody gets their final set of armor and weapons in Bowser's Keep from Croco . Due to a translation error, Bowser's ultimate armor was called the Heal Shell in the North American release. It's supposed to be Heel Shell as he's a villain. But since it is just a darker shade of green in the manual, I added his Hammer Slam armor from Skylanders. His ultimate weapon is the Drill Claw, but I honestly think it and the Hurly Gloves should have been switched around. Him throwing Mario would have fit his role as a heel better. This is how he looks in the last battle against Smithy .
