I... did not mean to be rude. My proof is my own experience, I've been through this situation before. You can ship whatever you want, I was just making a silly comment, perhaps it was unneeded because it was from my own theory regarding my own personal experience. But anyways, Jackie broke up with Marco because she knew he liked Star, but he is just coming into terms with that. (He does miss Star actually so it is not like he is lying)

Because Star reminds me a lot of myself and I used someone as a rebound. I thought I would just fall in love with him then get over my (now) boyfriend but I wasn't. I tried to, though. I tried so hard that I thought I was in love with him until I realized I wasn't. The guy says he's alright and that he found someone else and we're still all friends but sometimes I do regret what I did; dating him just to turn off my feelings for another.
And it doesn't help that I see myself in Star and this stuff gets me too personal, I'm sorry. I'm not good with these things.
