bute theyre both bees. vespiquen evolves from combee and is meant to be a queen bee.
and beedrill has bee in its name.

Well, technically Beedril is based on wasp AND bee:
"Its design appears to simply be a stylized bee or wasp. However, it has a much closer resemblance to an Asian giant hornet" (c) Bulbapedia
Bees and wasps are pretty different species. They don't get along. Wasps can not produce honey. They're parasites. Unlike bees they're more aggressive. Bees produce honey and attack humans only in order to defend the nest

Plus "Unlike honey bee queens, wasp queens typically live for only one year. Also queen wasps do not organize their colony or have any raised status and hierarchical power within the social structure. They are more simply the reproductive element of the colony and the initial builder of the nest in those species which construct nests." (c) Wikipedia
There can be only one Veprisqueen in a colony of Combees. But there's not information about Beedrils queens (they're simple female beedrils too). So I guess their queens are not that important

Well, Combee and Vespriqueen are famous for their honey. But no one ever said that Beedril produced honey. I don't recall such situations. Beedril are usually portrayed as aggrssive pokemon. They don't live in nests too

but in the quote you just used, it stated beedrill resembles a type of hornet. hornets are a variety of large bee.

and bees have females other than the queen. its simply that the other females are usually workers or drones or the like. its only occasionally that a female bee is a queen.
also, id assume its meant to be a bee, since beedrill, again, has "bee" in its name.
and arent their bees who's role in the colony is to protect from and attack threats to the colony?
can it not be compared to normal animals that will attack you if you get too close to them or stray into their territory because you look like a threat to them?

anyway, why are we debating over pokemon?

They're more like Wasps than Hornets. Hornets make honey... Well, I guess they do. Wasps don't

I know that bees have females. But bee's queens lives are longer compared to wasps queens. Wasps queens merely reproduces. Bees' queen is a head of the nest

Original name of Beedril is "Spear"

Well, both bees and wasps protect their colonies. But wasps can attack other insects and animals because of their omnivore diet even if the colony is really far away. Unlike bees who usually make honey
