Many thanks! I took a lot of properties from various bugs to come up with Svenka's character and design.
I can't imagine it was easy for Chaz to escape that webbing. X3

Given it's Chaz, he probably wasn't able to escape unassisted. (Though, provided he'd been let out at some point, he'd likely pay a visit again out of sheer curiosity)

Haha, I'm sure Svenka was probably just toying with him. Odds are she was the one who would've let him out.

Yeah, I figured as much, haha. XD I asked this over on FA but, how strong are Svenka's webs, in terms of adhesive properties, tensile strength, etc? You mentioned she'd set traps to trip or ensnare unwary targets, so I got kinda curious. That, and I'm curious as to the type of anaesthetic properties the web exhibits - is it more of a numbing anaesthetic or more of a drowsiness deal?

The adhesive properties are much like rubber cement, though naturally there's no smell to give it away. The anesthetic is potent enough to fully numb the muscles in the span of five minutes, though struggling seems to accelerate the process. It could make a person drowsy after a while, but that takes much longer than the numbing properties (I'd guess about 30 minutes). AndΒ to top it all off, it is especially strong -- it was able to hold this guy Β fairly easily even before the anesthetic effects began to kick in, and he's able to lift a car with ease.
That said, it can obviously be cut with very sharp non-stick edges like the blades on her insect limbs, and it can be burned, meaning this guy Β could be harder to keep in one place. It does, however, present opportunities to threaten people by acting as a fuse, which can make for some terrifying situations for some people. She is fairly smart as well as swift, so her traps could start off as simple as a tripwire or spring noose, and as soon as the victim loses footing, she swoops in and all around to ensnare them in a web or strap them hard to the ground.
Considering she's not very strong herself, she has to use these tactics in addition to her weapons to gain some advantage.

Oh sweet, that's really interesting! Though it may not be as effective, could the substance be used as a fully floor-based trap? Say for instance she leaves a few strands laying out on the ground, disguised perhaps as strands of cable in a server room, or even laying out on the ground if she happens to know (or have manipulated) someone into paying more attention to the ceiling than the floor - would the strands be sticky enough to snag a victim's feet if they were stepped on?
For that matter, are the strands of a fixed width, or can they be made thicker or thinner depending on the situation?

It can be possible to pull off. Like you say, laying the strands out across the ground as just an adhesive is not the most effective method, but it is doable. And yes, they can still be strong enough to get a victim pretty well stuck.
As for the thickness of the strands, they are typically made to be fairly thin so as not to be as visible to the naked eye. Making them thicker can strengthen the properties of anesthetic, adhesiveness, etc., but they're a lot more obvious and thus easier to avoid. But it does depend on the tactics at hand, so it can still get the job done.

Yeah, when I put it up I was already pretty far into the drawing.

In any case though. Maybe it's the assassin thing, but I can imagine she has something like a Russian accent.

It's probably also the name. X3
I honestly haven't decided what sort of accent Svenka would have, but a Russian-esque accent isn't out of the question. Then again, that's the same sort of accent I have designated to the Byrans. (It's fun to imitate Choram's habits of speaking.)

Their speech patterns are pretty solid. It's just that their vocabulary is limited. (For example, they typically wouldn't know the worlds "vocabulary" or "limited." Or "example," for that matter.) Plus they have the odd quirk of never using contractions in their sentences.
"GRAPHITE! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW, BUT I AM NOT HAPPY."
