It is easy to answer, for the same reason that makes you a giant with a mushroom, or for the same reason that there are two Links, or for the same reason that Sonic appears. It is a funny game. I3
In anything this joke is based in the weight of a Lucario, They are half the size of a Blaziken(s), but are heavier, it is also a reference to Wolverine' Bones and Stich problem.
