Description

After I completed 98462, to positive feedback, everyone started asking when I was gonna do his partner in crime 87546. Since this engine didn't really have a solid basis unlike the widely accepted b12 basis for 98462, it was tricky for me to find a model that both coincided with the time period and was faithful to his appreance in the books. Then, I got a recommendation from to use the lner K3 as his basis. According to him, the first few K3's were built from 1920-1921, which is 2 or three years before 87546 arrived on sodor, so the engine was a pretty good candidate for 87546's basis. Plus, the models appearance is similar enough to his RWS counterpart. As such, I've obtained a K3 model, and I'll be repainting him into NWR blue with red lining.
