Description Started off as a style study of FF Chocobo Dungeon [link] The art's got a really unique style that I love all of a sudden. :U
I tried to imitate the coloring, but something happened and it ended up like my usual coloring, but somehow simpler looking.

Looking at the art from FF:Chocobo's Dungeon and yours it looks like they should hire you instead.

An adorable outfit design and pose. I love the way you color.

Ah, Chocobo Dungeon. I think the same artist worked on Chocobo Tales as well? Me thinks you did a pretty good job emulating the coloring, but you missed out the trademark thick lineart. Of course, that could be intentional on your part. :3

I've a slight problem with her left arm in the foreground. I think that the upper arm is too long, and that..well, arms aren't supposed to be able to bend that way.

All in all, it's cute, even without a background. Keep up the awesomeness!

Frickin' randomly think/thinning lines and my inability to emulate properly!
I tried to do the lines exactly like the artist's, but it didn't look right to me, then everything just started fading back into my style.... somehow.

Yes, Tales and Dungeon are by the same artist, but they look almost completely different imo.

Left arm in the foreground? I'm afraid I'm confused which arm you're talking about.
I know the arm in the background is bending at a slightly odd angle. I didn't notice that until I started to fade it.
Critique please? C:

Haha, don't worry. Drawing thick, chunky lines isn't for everyone, so don't worry if you don't get it right first time round. Just..go crazy with lines. I..find it easier to do chunky lineart with real pens (fff tablet hates me) but you can try it out with pencils. Another place to looks for chunky lineart reference would be The World Ends With You. [link] sorry, it's the only one I can think of atm..)

I've to agree with you on that. I only looked at the Chocobos, but the human designs looks pretty different.

FFFF LEFT ARM IN BACKGROUND. BACK.GROUND. AHSKDLFJKLD PREVIEW BUTTON FAIL.

What I meant was that, well, from what I can see, her left forearm is as long as her torso. Since it's in the background (not foreground /brick'd) it makes it even more impossible.

Oh and for the angle, just look in a mirror. :3 Your arm will always make a "L" shape, no matter which side you view them from. If I didn't explain it well enough, you could find a doll (figure, ball jointed doll, barbies (lol) etc.) and play with it. You'll see what I mean.

Hope it was helpful! as it was long winded -shot

There's more lineart on TWEWY than there is color.

I see what you're saying now. I'll take it to memeory!

I have one of those wooden pose doll things, but oftentimes put it in impossible poses just to see if it'll break to see if people can really bend/pose that way. :/

LOL, that's one way of putting it. I think there are much better examples of thick lineart out there..that I can't think of right now.

Ah, I'm the opposite. I want to do impossible poses, but my doll can't as much as cross her legs, never mind weird poses.

Have I gone off topic...
