Sparrow meets a beautiful nomad doe named Kai, and wins her affections, helping himself to a short fling during early rut season (just before he connects with Kaziya). After a few days together, he and Kai part ways, and he never sees the doe again.

Y768:
Wren is born (unbeknownst to the newly-crowned King Sparrow)!

Y769-Y773:
Wren travels Windborne with her mother, braving the challenging territory on their own, every so often coming into contact with other nomads, but avoiding both the Allied and Loyalist Herds entirely
Kai passes on all her knowledge to her daughter, including information about Wren’s father, the Allied Herd and the great war (which Kai bore witness to, prior to which she was part of the Point Splinter)
