Globar makes another appearance on Ep.20th of the Giant Robo tv series, "S.O.S Giant Robo"

Appearance and Abilities: Whether is the same Globar or a new Unit, is unknown, but still has much of the same appearance and abilities as in Ep.2; Spherical with Cone like limbs coming out of it. The new upgrades given to it however were a turret cannon and a Scramble Ray, though the effects of it was temporary; it could as well peal its shell off in order to escape.

Weakness: Much like last time, it was massive impacts to the side of the mountain, though this time, it was taken out for good.

Notable importance: the Episode marked the final appearance by Red Cobra.

_Story_

When Unicorn's Communication satellite is hit by a meteor, the Japanese branch is tasked to send Giant Robo to space to investigate. When reaching the satellite's orbit, the Meteor pursues Robo and the mecha is tasked to shut it down and complies – however, the BF Mechanical Monster, Globar, emerges from it, having used it as a shell; the Monster fires a scramble ray, shutting down Robo and hooks it, taking it back to BF's Hideout and diving into the sea of the Izu Peninsula.

Suspecting BF to be behind all of this, Azuma learns that Daisaku and Mari had a tracker installed on Robo just in case; Minami and Daisaku are tasked to follow Robo's tracking signal, reaching an island operated by Red Cobra – the villains spot the Unicorn chopper and proceed to shut it down.

As Red Cobra celebrates his victory while awaiting the change of Robo's electronic Brain, U3 and 7 swim ashore, having survived and take down some of the guards and avoid the traps around the base when they sneak into the base proper via a dock entrance as boat (carrying the new brain) arrives; they take out a few of the guards, but their efforts are stopped by Red Cobra surrounding cornering the two in force – they are disarm and Cobra tries to get information out Daisaku about Unicorn's Bases, but the boy gasses the villains, allowing Minami to take him hostage, ordering the group to dropped their weapons, while Daisaku tries, but fails to awaken Robo from its scrambled state.

Taking his chance, Cobra uses the Rapid fire Weapon installed in his peg-leg, forcing the two to retreat, but soon fall into a dungeon on one of the hallways – a gloating Cobra then tells the situation with Robo and locks the dungeon, as it begins to fill up with Soap (Yes – Soap). In the meantime, Red Cobra has Globar attacked the Southwest Village Atomic Power Center, to take some it for the soon to be reprogram Robo; all of Unicorn enters in action to protect the facility.

With time running out, the trapped heroes installed an explosive device on the lid and take cover under the soap as the device goes off; they fight their way back to the hangar and stopped the scientist from installing the new brain, but Red Cobra has them pin down with his armed soldiers. As Minami runs out of bullets and learning of Globar's attack from Mari, an emotionally distraught Daisaku still calls out to Robo, when a tear droplet falls onto its circuits causing a short circuit, which brings Robo out of its Scramble state. The Mecha breaks free from its bounds and rises up, causing panic among Red Cobra and his men who tried to get out of the hangar via the lift, allowing the heroes take their leave and escape with Robo, breaking through the base's ceiling – the falling Debris hits Cobra's peg leg gun and it comes loose; the impact has the weapon opening fire straight to an weapons depot which goes off; Cobra falls to his death and the island facility is destroyed in a powerful explosion. The heroes then fly towards the Atomic Center to face off Globar.

At the Center, with the defenses been taken out by Globar, Azuma and the others try to avoid a nuclear catastrophe for the whole of the Kanto region by removing the Fusion Rods – Azuma been wounded by falling debris in the process. In that moment, Robo arrives and faces Globar, as U3 and U7 reunites with their colleagues. Robo battles Globar, avoiding its Scramble ray and then kicking it, then fires its finger missiles at the monster, but the latter peels its shell off escaping. Robo takes off in pursuit and gives it a Megaton Punch, again the Monster peals off its final shell, but Robo, this time making sure it doesn't escape, fires its Thumb anchor and chains Globar; it Spins the monster and tosses it to the side of a mountain, where is explodes on impact, getting of it for good.
