Thanks, Boris!
for me it is stunning to see the differences, if you see the three pieces side by side: this one, the black patinated bronze and the wooden original. Even though they have the same size and shape they look completely different. The black one seems to be the smallest. For me, the wooden one emphasies more on the surface, the black one on the volumes, and this one is something in between.
Obviously the materials have different properties as well: this one you can place outside in the rain.
Kindest,
Michael

i love them all... differently. you're absolutely right, they all look somewhat different. material definitely matters, and, as you mentioned can make the sculpture more "functional". great work, michael. do you still do any engineering consulting? seems ipossible to accumulate the body of work that you did in "spare" time.

Wonderful sculpture! I love how the curves become broader as the view turns downards. Great sculpt! what's the scale?

Thanks, I agree. Nevertheless it is impressive to see the differences: the original in wood and the two bronze pieces, one patinated as you see it, the other black. All three pieces are of the same size, but appear different, both in size as in the general aspect. In the wooden one there is a strong presence of the surface due to the grain of the wood. In the black patinated bronze the volumes seem to the predominant feature. And the brown patinated is anything in between. And finally the black one seems smaller than the other ones!
