ahaha, I hope I'm not filling up your inboxes with my junk too much...Do you know that when you like your characters and then you find one that pretty much looks exactly like them and you're just waiting for people to say "hey that totes looks like XY"
not so cool...
I just wanted to draw Leu in casual clothing =w= (dang, I'm just calling her Leu all the time now...)
also I didn't use Sai for once...just Photoshop o_o ...not used to it, but it was fun...

She's absolutely amazing. The colors are all so nice and semi-dull which makes for a really gorgeous color scheme. The shading on the creases of the jacket are so well done too they're my favorite part.
I know the feeling you described all too well, the thing about people saying HEY DUDE SHE TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE ______
One of the main characters of my comic unfortunately gets that once in a blue moon [link] they'll be like is that Chaos from Sonic Adventure. I have another character that people say is taken from Metal Gear Solid and I'm like AH F*CK guys I had never even SEEN the character design from MGS4 before I designed that specific original character they say is a copy of e____e
Regardless, I rationalize it by saying psychologically people are naturally attached to things they are familiar with and associate things with familiarity, so even if something very vaguely resembles a pre-existing design they will comment with that. It doesn't really bother me, except for that one I showed you because she's a main character man haha, she's already copyrighted and in three finished comic book episodes she can never be redesigned xD

I don't know the feeling (on account of me not having any characters of my own), but I've definitely seen it happen around. I can imagine it's not pleasent.

One of my characters is extremely reminiscent of Silver from Pokemon. His younger self has the jacket, and his older self has the hair. And ym friend has a character that looks like every anime "glasses" character ever. Like Cheren from Pokemon, Kyouya (sp?) from Ouran and Uruyuu (sp?) from Bleach. XD
