In french agouti means a fur color, mainly rodent's fur, and also an animal specie.
Gerbils of agouti colors are also the strongest because this is the wild color, so genetic is clean!
My both agouti gerbils lived 5years and 4months (accident) and 5 years 6 months (natural death)
I then had a white gerbil. the poor guy is dead at 2 years of an awfull tumour...
The veterinarian said me that white in genereal makes weak animals, who have a lot of tumour/cancer/other disease... I think all none natural colors also make animal a bit fragil, more than wild color.

Wow, I didn't know that... But I have heard that some certain fur colors have diseases more often than others

I meant like what coat would he be considered to have? Like some have Burmese coats, others have Honey, then there's Amber, Arctic Fox, etc.... What would his coat be considered?

Really? I've never heard of that pattern before! And yes! I have three! Rascal, Riot, and Ranger.. Rascal is a Honey, [link] Riot is a Bermese, [link] (he is a darker grey though) and Ranger is a Cream, [link]
