So here we are, four weeks after I started this picture, it is finally finished. For now anyways. It was due three weeks ago in my Digital Illustration class, but because of my injured hand, my teacher let me off and said to just do a good job and turn it in later. So while juggling assignments that given by less forgiving teachers and catching up on all the other things my hand put me behind on, I finally finished!

The assignment was to put an animal out of it's normal environment. I was debating a long time on whether or not I should put the fishies in bubbles or balloons. My teacher liked the idea of bubbles, but they turned out to be the biggest pain to draw. I thought the fish would be the most difficult... no. Just the bubbles. So twenty billion references later, I may have something acceptable.

Overall, I think I did a pretty good job. Still could use a lot of work, but ... I ain't gonna look at it for a good long while. The fish and their bubble homes have haunted me for far to long.

Kudos to anyone who knows what "ephemeral" means.
