This was my cosplay at the recent Anime Central last weekend. Me as Ryou Shirogane from "Tokyo Mew Mew." It sucks only three people knew who I was, and at least one person took my picture, but I've yet to find it. So, for now, here's a photo took with my camera. I hadn't shaved yet, so mind the stubble until a better pic comes up. So, if you're in the Illinois area for a con - mainly Natsucon, Anime Zap, and Anime Central - you may see this guy roaming the halls if I'm not in the Rai cosplay first.Related content

Sleeveless vests and suspenders like mine can be found at any thrift store, usually for pretty cheap. I got mine at a shopping mall. My sister made the ribbon. The pants I bought online. It's real easy to create. One of these days I'll add white to the vest to perfect it.

Actually, I will be attending next year. My brother has said he wanted to go back so I said, "Okay." Hey, no problem. Guess I got some studying to do of Shirogane. I'm glad to hear I made your weekend good. So, yeah, I will definitely bring him back next year. Hope to see ya there.

And I'm really surprised not a lot of people recognized you. Tokyo Mew Mew is an older anime (But was once popular), so that's one reason why I assume you weren't.

I usually prefer to cosplay as rare characters, like Rai from the Code Geass game and even a black-coated Vergil from Devil May Cry, mainly to say - "Hey, these characters exist in a way." I don't see too many Shirogane cosplayers so I thought "What the heck?" and added him to my rarity portfolio... or something along the lines of that. I try very hard to find rare cosplays, cause those are the most awesome of all.
