Description
This piece should help you guys figure out what was distracting me from working on Guardian Beasts. My (evil) friends got me sucked back into an old addiction, which I never quite shook off. I'm a dork that way... 'slinks off in shame'

Anyways, while I was playing HeartGold, I got bitten by a plot bunny for an AU involving the monks as Pokemon Trainers who have to travel all over the place and save the world. Same ol' same ol' for the warriors, except in this universe they get awesome monster companions on top of their cool elemental powers. XD The monks all have affiliations with the 17 different poke-elements, with all four monks having a Dragon-type affiliation. On top of having the ability to 'speak' with thier affiliated types, this means they also get cool attacks outside of the usual four elements they had in the show.

Above is Trainer!Kimiko with her starter pokemon, a charmander she nicknamed Venus. Naturally, Fire is one of Kim's affiliations, on top of being her absolute favorite pokemon type. I won't tell you any of her other affiliations, just because I wanna see what people come up with on thier own before I start working on this story.

Oh, and that thing on Kim's wrist is my story's equilvalent of a Poketch/Pokegear/Pokenav. It's called a Pokepal, and her dad invented it, which is why she has one even though they're ungodly expensive. It is affectionately referred to as DigiKim among the group, and actually is quite handy. ^^

(I'll try to get everyone else up eventually too. Omi's coming along nicely, but Rai's giving me grief. I'm sorta scared to draw Clay in anime style, so I'm holding off on him until last.)

Parents- Charizard 'Freyja' (Mother) and Charizard 'Sampsonite' (Father)
Trainer Notes- Venus is a very gentle, sweet tempered pokemon, who is burdened with the almost impossible task of keeping her hotheaded trainer out of trouble. She gets along pretty well with others, but is very standoffish in the most polite way possible. The only people she's really comfortable around are the Chosen Ones. Other then Kimiko, Venus is very fond of Clay, since the two have fairly similar personalities. Understandably, Venus has a deep, crippiling fear of water, and wants absolutely nothing to do with boats or anything of the such.
Warnings- It should be noted that despite her sweet disposition, Venus is NOT a pokemon you mess with when push comes to shove. She and Kimiko have been together since Venus hatched, so they know each other very well and are close, and Venus does not take people attacking Kimiko lightly at all. Venus does get a bit irritable about Kimiko's other pokemon getting attention from her trainer as well, but this shouldn't be considered too grave of a problem, just jealousy since she isn't used to sharing Kim with other pokemon.
