Description "My heart skips a beat when I watch her go by
I don't know if she knows if I'm even alive
I'd love to ask her out,
but there's too many people around

I've got to make it to summer
I want to drift on that ocean-blue in her eyes
On a blanket of sand
Holding her hand
While the lonely people go by

I've got to make it to summer
I want to tell her the things that I'm feeling inside
And if I get the chance,
I know I'm gonna make her mine."

I've Got to Make it to Summer,
Billy Gilman

------------------------------------------------

*grins* I've returned to my love for Billy Gilman. I remember having his CD, One Voice, back in 2000 and listening to it over and over and loving every moment of it. While attaining his songs again, I came across this track I had not heard before.

Those first lyrics sold me because it reminded me of a certain Hyuuga... *giggle* This is totally his song when it comes to Nariko.

Now, go listen to the song, Folks! It's so sweet... *sighs* I love Billy Gilman... His 2006 songs aren't bad either.

No, no, it's fine. Could you just clarify what you mean by "lean your letters?"

I got that, but I'm not sure I see what you mean. I mean, I didn't do anything to it. Honestly, whatever you're seeing, I think that may just be the font. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Er... I don't really know. *shrugs* I've never really slanted font before. Occasionally, for certain fonts, PhotoShop will allow for an "italics" option, but I rarely, if ever, use it.

Adobe Photoshop CS4.

I used to use Artweaver, but I use PhotoShop now. ArtWeaver is still capable of doing this. No fear. Would you like to know what I did?

Sure, I'd love to know how you did it!

Gemkio In reply to Bretagain1 [2010-04-18 22:16:57 +0000 UTC]

*grins* Well, I opened a new blank document in PhotoShop, just picking some random dimensions, and drew the two pictures, but I did the lines in different layers. (Ex: Hansuke in one layer, Nariko in the other.) Why? Because after that I locked the layers and changed the colors: Hansuke's to blue and Nariko's to orange because that's their colors to me and I thought it looked cool. Then, in another layer above those, I drew the blushes in pink. Then, I decided to make the background pink using another layer beneath the other three. Then, I picked one of the brushes and changed the "Flow," so that the percent was down to like 20-30% and set it to "Airbrush." Then, in another layer, I colored their hair and clothing and such. Then, using a little heart brush I downloaded somewhere here on DA, I made the little white hearts in the background. (On yet another layer. Lol.)

Lastly, I decided I wanted something above the. In this case, a lyric from the song. So, I went to Image>Canvas Size and made it bigger, but when the window popped up asking me for details, I clicked the bottom arrow on the little picture there so that the extra canvas would only be at the top. Then, I added the little black line and then the words. I don't know if you can do this in ArtWeaver or not, but I changed the property of the words so they had a "Drop Shadow" and an "Inner Glow."

You know, I actually had a friend "help" me get PhotoShop. I'm sure you could manage to find it somewhere and an activation code so you can keep it.

Okay...er, I think I got it all, although I really do suck at art programs like Artweaver and Paint Tool Sai, (I downloaded the trial-thing). First off, Paint Tool Sai never loads, ever, and Artweaver, well, I just have a mouse, not a tablet, (want one though), and I don't really know how to work all those programs, so I think I'll just stick to paper and pencil for now, but I'll try again when I'm older. And if I did manage to get Photoshop and an activation code, I probably wouldn't know what do to or what to click on; I'd probably just have it and do nothing with it unless I get into some computer classes.

Ah, I see. Well, good luck with that then! I hope you can get the hang of them someday. They really are quite useful.
