Blue Velvet slid a piping hot cup of tea to her friend, a grin upon her lips as she sat across from her. Normally, it would be her, Taffy, and River, but River unfortuantely couldn't make it with all of her beautiful works of fashion. They would just have to two for today.

"So, little miss newlywed, what's been going on? Married life treating you well?" Taffy teased, sipping from her little china cup with a chuckle, referring to Blue's brand new marriage to her sweetheart, Varmint.

Blue let out a sigh of utter happiness. "Married life is treating me heavenly..." But then her smile soured into a bitter frown. "But there have been things... going on." Saltwater Taffy gave a hungry grin. "Ooooh? Do spill."

The blue mare sighed out. "Do you remember the "welcome home from your honeymoon" party from the other day? That your Mama threw?" Taffy nodded. "Well, Varmint and I were snuggling over in our seats, and I saw a pretty mare. I kind of admired her for a bit, and so did Varmint. I'd never cheat, Varmint knows that, so we sort of admired her together." Blue's eyebrow's furrowed into a glare. "And guess who I looked up to see giving me a look that made me feel like dirt?"

Taffy pouted. "Red Cedar." She immediately knew. Blue Velvet nodded. "Yep! Varmint went to get a drink and Cedar marched over to me, telling me I should be ashamed for looking at someone other than my partner! Like she'd expected me to take the mare upstairs right then and there! I tried to tell her that we were BOTH looking and it was fine, but she just cut me off, saying I should be ashamed, and walked off! As if she hadn't done the same thing!"

Taffy gasped as though it had been herself who had been insulted, until she heard Blue's last sentence, and her eyes widened in interest. "What'd she doooo?"

Blue Velvet's face contorted from anger, to a small smirk. "Well, making goo-goo eyes with my BROTHER IN LAW at my WEDDING is a good start." Taffy gave a squeal of laughter. "You're kidding! BRAKISH?" She laughed. Blue Velvet cackled with her. "YES! She stared at him like he was the sun to her grass! After all that talk about telling me to keep it between MY legs!"

The two laughed aloud. "Imagine, Red Cedar, the queen of Making the World her Business, eyeing another stallion! Where was Rainer?" "Right beside her, not noticing a damn thing!" Blue giggled, having to set her tea cup down so she didn't spill it as she laughed.

"You know... someone oughta put her in her place...." Taffy grinned. Blue chuckled, brushing it off. "As if." She sighed, before gasping. "I forgot the cookies! Oh my gosh!" She stood. "Be right back!" She quickly trotted off to the kitchen, leaving Taffy to think, not knowing the plotting resting within her mind.
