Blue Velvet was searching far and wide, her blood boiling like lava as her best friend, River Morganite, raced beside her. She had just got done talking with someone who had heard from a friend who heard from a cousin who heard from a friend a rumor that she wasn't too fond of. And she knew exactly who spread it.

She almost broke down the door to Sugar Cube Corner, looking around and finally fnding the pony she'd been looking for. That bitch- Saltwater Taffy.

Taffy looked up and smiled. "Hey-" "YOU LYING WHORE! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?!" Blue Velvet's voice rang through the air like a snarl of a timber wolf. Taffy's eyes widened as she tried to play innocent. "Do what? I don't kn-" Blue Velvet stamped her hoof before Taffy could finish. "DON'T PLAY THAT INNOCENT CRAP WITH ME, TAFFY, YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT! How could you? How could you spread rumors about my sister like that?!"

At first, the hypogriff was meek, but then she decided to stand up for herself. "She DESERVED it, Blue! After all the shit she puts you through, she deserved it! Shaming you like that! I was just evening out the playing field for you!" She smiled gently.

"I never ASKED for your help! And I certainly didn't ask for you to spread rumors THAT YOU SAW RED CEDAR KISSING BRACKISH!" Blue Velvet was shaking now, tears of anger starting to fill her eyes. Saltwater Taffy stood there for a second, once in her life agape and not knowing what to say, before she found the words. "Blue, rumors fade-"

"DID YOU EVER THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS COULD DO TO HER MARRIAGE?! TO MINE?! IMAGINE MY WIFE FINDING OUT THAT MY BEST FRIEND IS TELLING EVERYONE THAT MY SISTER KISSED HER BROTHER! THE SHAME HER FAMILY WILL GO THROUGH?!" Blue Velvet stomped again, this time surprising River. Taffy scoffed. "Blue, it's BRACKISH. I doubt that they don't deal with shame with him that they're not already used to."

"IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER, TAFFY! YOU SPREAD LIES ABOUT THEM! ABOUT MY OWN SISTER! We may not get along all the time, but she is still my fucking sister! And what you did, could RUIN HER LIFE!" Blue felt her heart weigh with guilt, knowing if she hadn't told Taffy about Cedar's eyeing, this wouldn't have happened. She shook her head, before looking back up at Taffy, who was speechless. Her eyes narrowed as she glared.

"I never want to see you again. Do NOT contact me, OR my family ever again." With that Blue Velvet turned around, and ran out of Sugar Cube Corner.

Saltwater Taffy was at a loss for words. She looked up at River, who was walking to the door, to go after Blue. "River..." The dragon hybrid shot her a poisonus glare, before running out after her friend, leaving the hypogriff in the shadows
