The ship originates out of an older comic (not any of the Ariga ones, I can't recall what it was for atm) where Roll is impressed and starry eyed with Bass for whatever reason. I don't have the panel on hand, but it was one panel and it just came into existence from there. Ships in the classic Megaman universe tend to pull out of nothing. It's pretty typical. People ship Gutsman and Splashman because they're both into singing. It's a weird place.Ā
