It's cool. It kind of makes me think of Aku from Samurai Jack but in reverse in regards to what effect she has on the planet.

Yes, it is. Jokara came to be when the Purification Mass was fighting another called the Pollution Mass, and when the Pollution Mass was about to be destroyed, it shot a fragment of itself to Earth, and that fragment became the terrible kaiju Hedorah. The Purification Mass was aware of this, and shot its own piece of itself to Earth, which became the mighty Jokara when it crashed.

Well, since Hedorah is a Pollution Kaiju, Jokara is the only one who will go head-to-head with Hedorah, and thus, is the only kaiju who can defeat him.

I know, right? LongΒ ago, after Jokara was first seen by humans, and when they saw her power, they worshipped her as a deity with the power to purify contaminated places. But when the Earth wasn't polluted for a long time, Jokara went into sleeping and laid a single egg in her nest her worshippers made for her. In my story, when a real life disaster happened in a borough place called Donora, located in Pennsylvania, when a smog appeared in 1948, people were suffering from coughing and signs of respiratory distress. 20 died, due to some probably suffering from asthma and 14,000 more fell sick. But when things got worse, Jokara sensed it and appeared as a bright burst of light, purifying the town and healing those who fell sick.
