Description
A coworker pointed out that a large moth on the wall outside our office. I grabbed the camera and took some photos of it. This is the one that came out the best. I thought it was pretty neatRelated content

How do you tell the difference? I just about choked when I saw this because I thought it was my favorite moth, Eumorpha Pandorus. I compared pictures of this one against a Pandorus and an Oleander Hawkmoth, and to be honest.. I'm rather puzzled.

One thousand percent camouflaged, but yet choosing to stay in the most abstract by nature... For the life of me I could never understand why moths would choose such spontaneous places to be unsafe when safe places are so much... well... safer...

It's a Hawkmoth, a Spurge Hawkmoth ~ Hyles euphorbiae I think. It looks like pure velvet doesn't it? What a beauty.
