Description

Arachnid of the bushlands. Although this harmless spider is quite common in the bushlands of eastern australia, it is rarely seen as it is very well camouflaged among the branches of trees and bushes. The Net-casting Spider has an amazing hunting method. When night falls it spins a web which it holds between the tips of its legs. As an insect flies past, the spider throws out the web like a net, catching its prey in mid air.
