Ah Kumonga, one of my most favored kaiju. I just love me a spider, especially a spider kaiju... except the FW one. Didn't care for that one much. I like the huge spiders, like tarantulas.

There's not many bad Kumongas out there. I actually like the Neo Kummy a great deal, so you can't say I'm biased against Matt. I wanted to do something else with mine...

So I tried to make him look like a less fuzzy tarantula. I added a new color to his scheme: red. Mainly his claws and that new pattern on his back. I wanted to somehow symbolize that he's extremely poisonous, but not use the clichéd-to-death hourglass. So, instead, I made it look like a mouth. I kept in mind that there could also be kaiju out there who may just try and make a meal out of him, such as Megaguirus, Rodan, and maybe even Manda.
